Description: |
The existing Melrose ground water supply system will be converted from a water treatment facility to a booster pump station with supply via a new connection to the Lake Huron Primary Water Supply System (LHPWSS), to supply potable water to the Melrose service area. The construction of the works includes a new watermain extension from the LHPWSS secondary transmission main including connection, extending to the Melrose Water Treatment Facility (WTF) along with the installation of a new interconnecting chamber and control panels and restoration. There will be decommissioning of treatment equipment, back-up power and other removals within the Melrose WTF through a staged implementation process to ensure no disruption of potable water supply to the Melrose service area. |
